The 2005 Fresh Start Program
The Fresh Start summer orientation and enrollment
program is designed to assist students with enrolling in classes for the Fall
2005 semester and to ensure a positive introduction to the Missouri Southern
State University campus community. First-time freshmen are invited to
choose one of the ten Fresh Start dates. The following are the Fresh Start
dates for summer 2005:

A night session
has been added on July 12 for those unable to attend during the day.
The
Student Program
During Fresh Start, students will be involved
in the following activities:

the writing assessment (placement test for first
semester English class)

small group sessions for residence hall and
commuter students

small group session with a Fresh Start student
leader
-
small group session with academic Dean
-
luncheon program
-
enrollment for Fall 2004 classes
-
campus/residence hall tour (optional)
The
Family/Guest Program
Along with the student program, we have designed
a program specifically for families and guests.
Sessions include information about:
-
financial aid and account billing
-
residence life
-
family and the freshman year
-
campus health services
-
academics at MSSU
-
what happens to MSSU graduates
-
feedback from current MSSU students
