Southern Regional Professional
Development Center
ABOUT SOUTHERN RPDC
Welcome to the website for the NEW Southern Regional
Professional Development Center (SRPDC)! Learning, teaching,
self-development and innovation - these are the hallmarks of the SRPDC.
We are excited to be able to provide comprehensive
professional development and school improvement services to our
school districts, as well as some individualized services to meet
district needs, resulting in increased student achievement.
We are one of 11 Regional
Professional Development Centers established by the Department of
Elementary and Secondary Education in the state of Missouri.
Although DESE is in the process of realigning the regions, the
SRPDC anticipates serving the following counties:
| Barry |
Jasper |
| Barton |
Lawrence |
| Cedar |
McDonald |
| Dade |
Newton |
|
Vernon |
Serving the above nine counties containing 39 school
districts, we receive funding through an annual grant from the Missouri
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education with monies generated
by Senate Bill 380 and with support from Missouri Southern State
University. The SRPDC is housed in the Southwest Center for
Educational Excellence and collaborates with SCEE to provide a wide
array of professional development opportunities for schools in the
region.
Looking forward to
serving you!
