Cathy

Dr. Cathy Galland, Director

Cathy Galland has been an educator for 18 years.  She taught high school English for eight years, then served as a MAP Regional Facilitator for two years in the Heart of Missouri RPDC and for four years at the Southwest RPDC.  Most recently, she spent four years in Republic R-III  District as Curriculum Director.  She is passionate about high quality professional development and is very excited about the opportunity to expand the PD opportunities for teachers in the region.

 

AnneAnne Shadwick, Assistant Director

Anne Shadwick worked for the Seneca School District for 26 years serving in various positions as a Vocational Home Economics instructor, high school librarian, curriculum director, assessment and A+ coordinator.  For the past six years, she has worked as Curriculum Consultant for the Southwest Center for Educational Excellence and recently was appointed Assistant Director for the Southern RPDC and SCEE.  Anne envisions the joining of the two groups as an ideal way to help all students and schools in the area.

Debbie

Debbie Clark, MAP Mathematics Regional Instructional Facilitator

Debbie Clark has served as an educator for twenty-one years with experience teaching grades one though six, working as a Behavioral Sciences Instructor and serving as an Assistant Principal.  Debbie has served as a district peer coach and professional development committee member; scored MAP communication arts and served as a table leader for MAP Math.  Her experiences as a classroom teacher and instructional leader have increased Debbie's understanding of our need for authentic assessment as well as ongoing professional development.  She looks forward to the prospect of facilitating hands-on learning experiences for school communities in the southern region.  

 

KathyKathy Gray, MAP Communication Arts Regional Instructional Facilitator

Kathy Gray has taught communication arts for twenty years in Southwest Missouri, serving as an instructional coach for the last three years.  She served as a MAP Senior Leader for seven years, facilitating teacher learning in the areas of assessment and research.  She has experience in all areas of assessment development with DESE.  Besides her interest in the creation of quality assessments, Kathy has a passion for literacy, having successfully assisted in the implementation of literacy reforms.  She eagerly awaits the opportunity to work with educators in the area!

 

AngelaAngela Mouser, Administrative Assistant

Angela Mouser is excited to join the center as Administrative Assistant.  Her career has included working as a marketing representative for a retirement community,  product marketing, market research specialist, corporate communications and public relations for various for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, where she has been able to utilize her writing and communication skills. She has a Bachelor' Degree in Journalism and English and enjoys helping others by serving as an English and literacy tutor for teens and adults..
