Reference staff help people find information on a topic, develop search strategies for research papers, search SWAN, Central Search, the web, and locate facts and statistics.


In addition, Reference staff aid in the selection of reference resources, maintenance of the reference area, provide tours, create online tutorials, subject specific resource guides and participate with other library staff in public service policy decisions.



Ask a Librarian - receive research assistance or get answers to brief factual questions from a qualified Reference Librarian.

Resource Guides - printable Microsoft Word documents that provide suggested resources as a path to finding information about particular subject areas.


Internet Sources - a collection of Web pages, organized by subject area, that provide links to select Web resources around the world.


Citation Manuals - tips and examples to help you quickly format your research papers in accordance with the style required for your course.


Tours and Instruction - find out why and how Librarians will meet with classes to discuss information resources and research techniques specific to the projects of that class and provide building tours.
