Book Request Form


Missouri Southern State University faculty, students, alumni, staff and community card holders can obtain materials not available at Spiva Library. If you need books or articles that Spiva Library does not have, we can request it from another library.

You must be a registered user in good standing to be eligible for this service. In addition each individual may request no more than 10 items per 7 day period. Also, there is a $2.00 per request fee for Community Borrowers.

Before you place a request for a book, be sure to check MOBIUS. Books available through MOBIUS libraries can be requested by MSSU students, faculty and staff from the MOBIUS page. Community card holders must use the online form below or a print form available at either Circulation desk or the Reference desk.

WARNING CONCERNING COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS:

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not "used for purposes other than private study, scholarship or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve a violation of copyright law.
