The Higher
Learning Commission is part of the North Central
Association of Colleges and Schools. The Association
was founded in 1895 as a membership organization for
educational institutions. It is committed to developing
and maintaining high standards of excellence.
The FYFOUNDATIONS.ORG is
a Web site for the Foundations of Excellence® in
the First College Year, a project sponsored by the Policy
Center on the First Year of College and supported by
the Lumina Foundation for Education. Foundational Dimensions
statements constitute a model that provides institutions
with a means to evaluate and improve the first year of
college.
The Policy
Center on the First Year of College has as
its basic mission the improvement of the first college
year through enhanced learning outcomes and the success
of first-year students.
The
Consortium for Student
Retention Data Exchange is a consortium of colleges and universities
dedicated to cooperative sharing of student retention data.
They provide CSRDE members from 4-year institutions with comprehensive retention
and graduation benchmarks that cannot be acquired from any other source.
