HLC Academy for Assessment of Student Learning
In order to advance an institutional commitment to the systematic assessment and improvement of student learning, MSSU is participating in the inaugural cohort of the Higher Learning Commission's Academy for Assessment of Student Learning. The Academy offers HLC member institutions a four-year sequence of events and interactions that are focused on student learning and are targeted at accelerating and advancing efforts to assess and improve student learning. When planned comprehensively and carefully by the institution, participation in the Academy can produce evidence for Criteria and Core Components in upcoming accreditation evaluations and can serve in place of mandated progress reports, monitoring reports, and focused visits on assessment of student learning. Listed below are links to three substantial student learning projects that have been undertaken in conjunction with the University's participation in the Academy. In addition to the benefits that these projects will bring to MSSU, the institution will profit by having access to Academy resources and interactions with other institutions in the cohort.
