Description: This meter was a big improvement over the 1960 Air Sea
Meter. This instrument has an active gyro-stabilized platform and
improved damping. This basic design is still used today, but now with
modern digital electronics. More than 125 have since been manufactured.
The four original racks are, from left to right: meter control
electronics, analog chart recording system, platform control
electronics, stabilized platform with the gravity meter.
