 Dr. Keith Cochran earned his Ph.D.at the University of Alabama  in Educational Psychology with minors in Educational Research  and Special Education. Additionally, he holds the Ed. S. degree in  Educational Research also from the University of Alabama.  His Scale of Teachers' Attitudes Toward Inclusive Classrooms (STATIC) is used internationally (Canada, Great Brittian, Greece, Japan, Phillipines, Guam, South Korea and the United States), as the definitive instrument for measuring teachers' attitudes toward inclusive education.

Dr. Cochran received the most prestigious awards conferred by UA for both excellence in  research and excellence in teaching. He came to MSSU in August, 1997. He teaches General Psychology, Educational Psychology, Measurement and Evaluation, Psychological  Measurement, and Human Intelligence. Dr. Cochran maintains an extensive web site for the students of his classes that may be reach by clicking on his name.

His  research interests include identifying and measuring factors contributing to successfully educating children with special needs, exploring innovative and thematic approaches to teaching and  learning, and developing original instruments to measure various psychological constructs.
