To Contact the President's Office: Voice: (417) 625.9501 |
Your support and gifts are important to the success of our students and faculty. Our Board of Governors is leading in this effort and recently one of its members who wished to remain anonymous demonstrated that spirit of generosity by contributing $60,000 to be used to form an endowment for general scholarships.
Dr. Mark Parsons, Vice President for Development and Executive Director of the Missouri Southern Foundation, and Dr. John Tiede, Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving, gratefully appreciate gifts of all sizes.
As an example of what we do with your gifts, Missouri Southern provides more than $5 million in scholarship assistance to students, much of which is derived from private contributions from citizens such as you. Gifts range in size from $25 to 10s of thousands of dollars. Each and every one is important and highly valued by us.
We rely on private gifts to support many other areas of the University, including classroom technology and equipment; departmental support and many other areas. I feel so strongly about the value of your private commitment to Missouri Southern and higher education that my wife, Carmen, and I have pledged to give $10,000 to fund architectural planning for improvements to athletic facilities at MSSU. My gift is just an example of the many ways you can help us continue to build programs and facilities to meet the needs and demands of the modern student.
Indeed, the University depends on your good will and tangible support
to advance its programs, maintain and build state-of-the facilities,
and prepare our students to compete in a global economy. Together we
can ensure Missouri Southern continues to provide the best possible experience
for our students.
