Current Teaching Responsibilities:

Dr. Summerfield began work for MSSC in the fall of 1995. He teaches Physics 100: Fundamentals of Physical Sciences, Chem 101 and 102: General Chemistry I and II, and Chem 401 and 402: Physical Chemistry.

Specific Interests and Hobbies:

Dr. Summerfield enjoys researching the statistical physics of long chain polymers and other systems modeled by self -avoiding random walks. In his off hours, he delights in traveling, camping, and gourmet cooking.
