M. S. in Physics from Pittsburg State University (1967)
Visiting Professor for Pittsburg State University (1969 and 1972), Engineering Consultant for Eagle-Picher (1982 -present), and currently the Head of the Physical Sciences Department at MSSC.
Mr. Sloan has served MSSC for over 30 years since he became a professor in the fall of 1967. His contributions have graced every physics class offered at MSSC, some math courses, and an occasional computer programming class, although his current teaching centers completely in physical science, physics, and pre-engineering.
Mr. Sloan is well -known around campus as the fix -it man. Having taught decades of physics and engineering laboratories, he has developed a comprehensive ability to find the problem and devise a solution. He keeps the laboratory equipment and demonstrations in working order. The other physical science faculty fear his retirement!
