Children’s Play Excalibur! Slated for Dec. 3-4 at MSSU

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The Missouri Southern State University Theatre Department will present the children's play Excalibur! The Story of Young King Arthur by Michele L. Vacca at 2:30 p.m., Dec. 3-4 in Taylor Performing Arts Center at MSSU.

Bryan Whyte, senior Secondary Education/Speech & Theatre major from Webb City, directs the season’s first offering for children (of all ages).

Excalibur! whisks us back to the days of yore for the story of Arthur, the adventurous boy who became Britain’s king.

Arthur, the most famous king in English history, is joined by Merlin, Morgan Le Fay, and a host of knights and ladies in this production.

Excalibur! will provide a wonderful afternoon of magic and adventure for those who want to enjoy a trip back to the pomp and pageantry of ancient England.

Admission for the children's play is $1 for adults and $0.50 for children 12 and under. No free passes can be accepted. For reservations call (417) 625-3190.
