JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The Missouri Southern
State University Model UN Club attended the 45th Session of the Midwest
Model United Nations in St. Louis, Feb. 23-26.
MSSU, which represented the country of Mexico, was among the 83
delegations from over 50 colleges and universities. Co-sponsors Dr.
William Kumbier and Dr. Paul Teverow worked with the ten participating
students as they prepared position papers and resolutions reflective of
Mexico's foreign policy.
During the conference, the students worked with other
delegations from colleges and universities throughout the nation to find
solutions to the global issues on the conference agenda. MSSU delegates
receiving
Honorable Mention in the General Assembly 3rd Committee were
Caleb Gallemore, senior International Studies major from Seneca and Jeff
Erman, junior English major from Joplin.
