JOPLIN, MO (SNS) -The Missouri Southern State College Board of Regents Thursday night extended the contract of College President Dr. Julio León another three years following an annual evaluation meeting conducted in executive session. The Board annually reviews the progress of the college and the performance of the president, whose salary was set last year at $145,000. Board members were unified in their praise for the MSSC President. In a statement following the meeting, Board President Dr. Charles McGinty said, "We all applaud Dr. León for his foresight and for his hard work. As financial challenges have continued, Dr. León has helped keep the college on a sound financial footing and worked toward University status. We are very pleased with the performance of Dr. León." Dr. León's new contract is for $155,600. |
