Hurley (417) 625-9343 JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The Missouri Southern State
University Office of Career Services will host Career Development Day,
from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6 in the Billingsly
Student Center on the Missouri Southern campus.
The theme of this year's event is: "Career Roads: Plan Your
Destination." The event is an opportunity for MSSU students and
alumni to get "real world" information about a variety of
career fields according to Pat Hurley, Director of Career Services.
Students also will have a chance to meet the employers in an
informal setting during a "Networking Reception" from 6-7:30
p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 5 on the second floor lounge of Billingsly Student
Center. Employers attending Career Development Day will staff
information booths.
"Career Break-out" sessions on Wednesday will offer
students a chance to learn more about specific career fields.
