Board approves budget, gives O.K. to pay increase, promotions, tenure

The Missouri Southern State University Board of Governors acted on budget recommendations for the next academic year at the group’s meeting Thursday, June 16.

The Board approved a budget of just over $50 million for fiscal year 2006. The Board approved salary increases for faculty and staff of 3 percent.

The Board granted eight faculty members tenure and approved promotions for 15 teachers.
