Safe Spring Break Activities

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - Alcohol Awareness Week is March 13-17 at Missouri Southern State University. Spring Break is March 20-24.

In conjunction with Safe Spring Break activities, screenings will be conducted for those who may have concerns that alcohol is being used in an unhealthy way.

Dalenette Voigt-Catlin, MSSU Student Support Center, says MSSU is offering students free online screeings.

Catlin says a table set up this week in the Billingsly Student Center will provide students with information about alcohol use and misuse.

Also, in-person screenings will be available in the Lion’s Den. Screenings will be held from:

* 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 14
* 12 noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 15
* 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, March 16

Screenings are completely confidential and take only a few minutes. Those screened will get immediate feedback customized for MSSU students.
