10th Annual Benefit Wine Tasting for 88.7KXMS/Fine Arts Radio International

2006 Annual KXMS Benefit Wine Tasting: Thursday, March 30

Q:  When and Where is the thirteenth annual wine tasting benefit for 88.7KXMS Radio?

A:  Thursday, March 30, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, 320 E. Fourth Street, Joplin.

Q:  Who is providing the wine this year?

A:   Three wineries will be represented this year: Mt. Pleasant Winery, St. James Winery and Stone Hill Winery.

Q:  I don't really care for wine, would I enjoy the Thirteenth Annual KXMS Benefit Wine Tasting?

A:  Absolutely. Whether or not you try the various wines, there will be a variety of unique and wonderful food to sample. It's also a chance to enjoy the company of others who listen to 88.7KXMS.

Q:  I can't attend the evening of March 30, can't I just send money in support of KXMS?

A:  We will miss you, but feel free to write a check or take advantage of the credit card option made possible by the Klassix Society. Our mailing address is 3950 E. Newman Road, Joplin, MO 64801-1595. Contributions to KXMS are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Q:  Will my financial contribution really make any difference to KXMS?

A:  Most assuredly. With continued reduced state funding, KXMS is all the more reliant on your generous individual support to help defray the cost of maintaining exceptional radio service. Quality classical/fine arts programming does not come cheap: Exploring Music and Adventures in Good Music with Karl Haas alone costs KXMS over $3,000 this year. Our listeners demand good programming and providing good programming has never been inexpensive Additionally, KXMS needs to upgrade its studios and streaming audio, and we must replace transmitter equipment.

Q:  Do wine tasters spit out their wine?

A:  Not at this event!
