Coordinator Fire, Safety & Environmental Health

This position involves coordinating the Fire, Safety & Environmental Health programs for the University. Responsibilities include but are not limited to facilitating the removal and disposal of chemical, biological and dangerous substances and overseeing installations, inspections and maintenance of fire protection equipment; completing and maintaining required documentation pertaining to disposition of hazardous materials and Material Safety Data Sheets; conducting safety training programs including “Right-to-Know.” See full job description on this website for additional responsibilities and requirements.

High school graduate or GED equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Environmental health from accredited university preferred. Graduate of Fire Fighter 1 and 2 required or must be completed within first 90 days of employment. Previous experience in Fire Science and NFPA/Life Safety Code compliance required.

Coordinator Instructional TV & Database Manager

MSSU is accepting applications for a full-time Coordinator Instructional TV & Database Manager reporting to the Department Head of Teacher Education. Position is responsible for overseeing the microteaching lab, student training, and teacher database program. This position is also responsible for researching and being up to date on instructional technology; writing instructions for new equipment use; preparing reports, and working with students and faculty on equipment issues.
