Assistant Softball Coach -- CLOSED

Missouri Southern State University, a NCAA Division II member institution and a member of the Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Softball Coach.  

The duties of the assistant coach will be to assist the head coach in conducting and planning training and conditioning schedules; team travel; and teaching softball fundamentals with an emphasis in pitching and strategies to student-athletes.  Applicant should have strong recruiting skills and knowledge of the NCAA Division II rules and must have experience in working with a diverse population.  Qualifications include the following:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required. Master’s degree preferred. Competitive background in collegiate softball preferred as well as one to two years of pitching instructor or collegiate pitching experience. Current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use is preferred at the time of hire, and will be required prior to participation in any countable athletically related activities as defined by the NCAA.
