FULL-TIME TENURE-TRACK POSITION –Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) Department of Nursing is experiencing an exciting period of growth and seeks a nursing department chair/educator to fill a full-time 12-month tenure-track position beginning July 1, 2013, or soonest availability. Applicants that demonstrate talent and commitment to the roles of administrator, scholar, and teacher are invited to join our team. MSSU has a NLNAC accredited undergraduate baccalaureate program that offers an on-line RN to BSN program as well as a cooperative master’s degree program with emphasis in Family Nurse Practitioner with the University of Missouri-Kansas City. We are seeking an energetic, positive, creative, visionary leader who is interested in working with new teaching technologies.
This position will serve multiple functions within the Department of Nursing including administration and teaching. The Department Chair in Nursing will work collaboratively with faculty to provide administrative and educational leadership in the development and continuous quality improvement of the Department. This position will serve as a liaison to the university, community, external accrediting agencies and will represent the department at the state level with relevant organizations.
