The Communication Department at Missouri Southern State University invites applications for a position in Public Relations; rank and tenure status will be determined by experience and credentials. Applicant must exhibit ability to lead a growing BA/BS program in public relations and teach courses in the current program. Other responsibilities include developing new courses in public relations and related fields as well as serving as faculty advisor to MSSU’s PRSSA chapter. Professional public relations or related experience required. The position requires a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level; the course load is four courses per semester. A Ph.D. is preferred, A.B.D.s and MA’s in public relations will be considered. This appointment is scheduled to begin August 2014. Screening will begin immediately and continue until a qualified candidate is selected.
