Music Faculty Position, Applied Trumpet -- CLOSED

The Department of Music at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri seeks applicants for an Applied Trumpet, 10-month, non-tenure track faculty position, with the possibility of renewal, at the rank of instructor or assistant professor beginning in August 2014. Teaching responsibilities are teaching applied trumpet, conductor of brass choirs, recruiting, advising and other departmental courses as needed. Possible work with university bands, orchestra or jazz ensembles in teaching or performance as opportunities are presented.

Qualifications: Doctorate preferred, ABD and Masters Degree will be considered. Candidate must have demonstrated success in performance (classical and jazz), teaching and recruiting at the collegiate level.
