Paramedic

The mission of the Emergency Medical Services program is to educate and graduate an EMS professional who is a competent entry-level practitioner.   The program is designed to develop and promote conceptual, technical, contextual, integrative, and adaptive competence; creating practitioners educated in all phases of professional behavior. Graduates will be prepared to enter the health professions workforce and be eligible for licensure, certification, and advanced education. Attention is focused on the need of each student for local and international service.

Tuition and fees change on a yearly basis.  Below are the average costs of the total tuition and required fees as of Fall 2014:

On-Campus room & Board: $9,397

On Time Completion Information

Students can complete the Paramedic Program by completing the admission criteria above and enrolling in the Paramedic courses. The Program is 3 semesters (10 month) long and begins in the Fall semester of each academic year.

The Paramedic Program provides students with the training required to prepare students to take the National Registry examinations as Paramedics(SOC Code 29-2041.00). 13 students completed the program for the academic year 2007-08. 100% of the students completing the program did so in normal time. Of those 13 students, 6 incurred student loan debt to complete the program. For all students completing the program, the median cummulative debt is as follows:

7 students completed the Paramedic Certificate program for the academic year 2013-14.  Fewer than 10 students completed this program.  The number who finished within the normal time  as well as median loan amounts has been withheld to preserve the confidentiality of the students.
