Nurse Pinning 2006

JOPLIN , MO (SNS) –The Nursing Department Pinning Ceremony for students graduating with Bachelor’s Degrees in Nursing was held Friday, May 19 in the Connor Ball Room in Billingsly Student Center at Missouri Southern State University. The pinning ceremony is a traditional rite de passage for graduating seniors.

 

Following a welcome by Grace Ayton Interim Director/Associate Professor, Department of Nursing.

 

Mrs. Ayton made comments and presented the baccalaureate degree candidates.

 

Ms. Patricia Hempsmyer, Assistant Professor, Department of Nursing and Mrs. LeSha Goade, Assistant Professor, Department of Nursing , oversaw the pinning of the nursing graduates.

 

Others taking part in the ceremony included : Dr. Barbara Box, Professor, Department of Nursing; Linda Ballew, 2006 Nursing Graduate; Mrs. Chrys Corcoran, Assistant Professor, Department of Nursing; Mrs. Shanna Griffiths, Assistant Professor, Department of Nursing; and Heather Hilton, 2006 Nursing Graduate.

 

A reception was held in the Connor Ballroom on the third floor of the Billingsly Student Center immediately following the pinning ceremony.
