JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The Nevil Shute Film Festival will take place Sept. 20 - 22 in Webster Hall Auditorium on the campus of Missouri Southern State University. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend.

Showing of the film Landfall

 

Friday, Sept. 21

Nevil Shute was born in London in 1899 and died in Melbourne, Australia in 1960. He was one of the most popular novelists of the mid-20th century, as well as a successful aeronautical engineer.
