JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - Two panel discussions on conducting business in China will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Missouri Southern State University.
“Doing Business in China: The New Entrepreneurs,” will take place at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17 in Cornell Auditorium in Plaster Hall.
Panelists will include:
Breaking into a country of 1.3 billion potential customers without getting burned is full of daunting challenges. Area entrepreneurs and business leaders share their success stories and tips, including how to identify prospective Chinese buyers, how to understand local business practices and the Chinese consumer, how to build relationships and cultivate guanxi, (the network of relationships among various parties that cooperate and support one another) and how to overcome cultural barriers.
The 11 a.m. panel discussion will continue the earlier session with the experts discussing China as a viable market, the necessity of formulating a good business plan, and other tricks of the trade.
Both panel discussions are free and open to the public.
