JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The Small Business Development Center at Missouri Southern State University and the MSSU Center for Entrepreneurship will be celebrating Entrepreneurship Week USA by hosting a workshop on Friday, March 2, 2007.
The workshop, “Starting a Small Business: The First Steps” will be held from 1:15 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center, Room 102 (formerly Matthews Hall). The cost of the workshop is $20.
This introductory workshop will provide attendees with an overview of the critical first steps associated with starting a business. It is designed specifically for those who are thinking about starting a business.
Participants will have an opportunity to assess their strengths and weaknesses, learn about the importance of planning, discuss legal and regulatory requirements, and identify sources of financing.
Each participant will receive a Start-up manual. For additional information, please call the Small Business Development Center at Missouri Southern State University at (417) 625-3128.
