Cut Cable Results in Broadcasting Outage

 

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - KGCS-TV, located at Missouri Southern State University, will not broadcast over the air on channel 57 this weekend.

 

A cut cable Thursday, Sept. 6 resulted in the loss of the microwave feed to a downtown transmitter site for the station, according to Judy Stiles, KGCS General Manager.

 

However, the channel WILL be available via local cable systems.

 

"We hope to have repairs made by Monday to restore the microwave feed," Stiles says.
