Dolence Awards, “Leader of the Year”

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) – A total of 30 deserving students at Missouri Southern State University were recognized Wednesday, April 17 at the annual Glenn D. Dolence Leadership/Service Recognition Assembly.
 
The "Leader of the Year" award was received by Hayley Mullins, senior Music major from Diamond.
 
hayley mullinsStudent Affairs and Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) at Missouri Southern sponsor the awards which are presented to graduating students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills on campus and who have made a difference in the areas of campus organizations, student employment, student services or athletics.

The Awards are named in honor of Dr. Glenn D. Dolence, retired vice president for Student Affairs at Missouri Southern State University.

After 27 years of service Dr. Dolence retired from MSSU in 1996. He later served as mayor of Webb City and held a variety of other posts.
