“Doing Business with MoDOT” November 15 at MSSU

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - Heartland Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) will provide businesses with a training seminar “Doing Business with MoDOT”. This seminar will discuss requirements for businesses wishing to submit bids or proposals to the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The seminar will be held in the ballroom on the third floor of the Billingsly Student Center at Missouri Southern State University on Tuesday, Nov. 15.  Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The seminar will be held from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  Registration deadline is Nov. 9.

The cost to attend is $10.

MoDOT divisions represented are:

• General Services - Procurement and Inventory Management  
• Design Division - responsible for advertising, letting and awarding Mo DOT's highway and construction maintenance projects
 
Heartland PTAC assists businesses with potential market expansion through procurement opportunities with federal, state and local governments which enhances local economies.
 
The goal of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization’s Small Business Transportation Resource Center (SBTRC) Program is to increase the number of small businesses that are prepared to compete for, and enter into, transportation-related prime and sub-contracts at the local, state and federal levels. SBTRC will also provide information for this event.

Coffee, iced tea, water and doughnuts will be provided.
