JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - KGCS-TV will join the America One network in airing live coverage of the semi-finals and finals of the Canadian Football League, on Sunday, Nov. 20 and Sunday, Nov. 27.
The semi-final games begin at noon on Nov. 20 with Hamilton vs. Winnipeg, followed by Edmonton vs. British Columbia.
The CFL Grey Cup championship game will air starting at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27.
“We know there has been interest in the past from our viewers in seeing Canadian football, so we are glad to once again be able to provide that programming to viewers,” says Judy Stiles, KGCS General Manager.
2011 marks the 10th year the CFL division finals and the Grey Cup Championship have been carried by America One.
KGCS programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22, and on regional cable television systems including Cable One, Mediacom and Suddenlink.
The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
