JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - Exciting times are planned for Saturday, Feb. 28 when the women's and men's basketball teams from Missouri Southern State University host Northwest Missouri State University.
 
On that day Lion athletes of the past will be connected with the University's present and future.
 
Special activities will honor and recognize former players of all sports, as well as coaches, athletic trainers, cheerleaders and the sports program support staff of Joplin Junior College, Jasper County Junior College, Missouri Southern State College, and Missouri Southern State University.
 
This event is organized and coordinated by the Alumni Association and Athletics department.  The event will include two basketball tickets to the women's and men's Basketball game, the pre-game tailgate and the reunion to be held after the games.  There is no charge to former players, staff and cheerleaders to attend the event.
 
The first participants to RSVP will be entered in a drawing to be named the Honorary coach for the men's basketball game
