Honors Graduates

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - Missouri Southern State University’s 52nd graduating class will include 105 students graduating with honors at the University’s Commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 16 in Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.

 

A total of 535 graduates will receive 634 degrees in Commencement ceremonies slated for 9:30 a.m. and 12 noon.

• Thirty-one students earning a four-year grade point average of 3.9 or above on a 4.0 scale and will graduate Summa Cum Laude. Nine of those had a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

 

• Thirty students will graduate Magna Cum Laude with grade point averages of 3.80 to 3.89.

 

• Thirty students will graduate Cum Laude with grade point averages of 3.70 to 3.79.

 

• Four students will receive Associate Degrees graduating with first honors indicating a grade point average of 3.90 or above.

 

• Three students will receive Associate Degrees graduating with second honors indicating a grade point average of 3.80 to 3.89.

 

• Seven students will receive Associate Degrees graduating with third honors indicating a grade point average of 3.70-3.79.
