"Pops" Concert

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The Missouri Southern State University Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will take the stage at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 13 in Taylor Performing Arts Center for the group’s annual "Pops" Concert.

 

This year's performance will include music of early Americana.

 

Rusty Raymond, Band Director, says the ensemble will perform without MSSU President Bruce Speck, who had agreed to serve as guest conductor.

 

Dr. Speck's appearance had to be canceled due to his heavy travel schedule.

 

The concert is free and open to the public.
