JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The 2008 Southern Media Showcase winners were announced at Missouri Southern State University on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008.

The Awards recognize outstanding work in video and print projects by area Middle and High School students who enter the competition. Winners were awarded with medals at a noon luncheon at the University. This is the twelfth year for the Media Showcase Awards, which are presented by the MSSU Communication Department.
