JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The Southern Symphony Orchestra will present "A Hollywood Night," at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 6 at Taylor Performing Arts Center at Missouri Southern State University.

 

Dr. Kexi Liu of the Missouri Southern Music Department serves as Director and Conductor. The performance will feature theme songs from a number of well-known Hollywood motion pictures.

 

The films included will be:

 

* Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones)
* Pirates of the Caribbean
* Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone
* The Lord of The Rings
* The Phantom of the Opera
* The Sound of Music
* Star Wars

 

The Southern Symphony Orchestra's musicians come from the MSSU faculty and student body, the community and some local high schools.
