Finalist Withdraws

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - Dr. Joe Wiley, a finalist for Missouri Southern State University President, has withdrawn his name from consideration for the presidency of MSSU.

 

Mr. Dwight Douglas, chair of the Search Committee, has confirmed the withdrawal. Dr. Wiley has accepted the presidency at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn., Mr. Douglas stated.

 

"We wish Dr. Wiley well in his new position," Mr. Douglas stated.

 

He also said that "the search process will go forward as planned with the interview of Dr. Bruce Speck on Wednesday, Jan. 16. The schedule for Dr. Speck's visit is available at:

Dr. Speck was one of two finalists selected to visit the MSSU campus and participate in public forums.
