JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The German Film Festival at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin will present the film Good Bye, Lenin! at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 11 in W. Robert Corley Hall in Webster Hall at MSSU.

 

The film is free and open to the public as part of "Germany Semester" activities at Missouri Southern.

 

Directed by Wolfgang Becker in 2003, action begins before the fall of the Berlin Wall.

 

A young dissident’s pro-Communist mother slips into a coma and awakens to a world that has changed beyond recognition. Knowing the shock might kill her, he tries to keep the change a secret.
