JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - Classes begin at Missouri Southern State University on Monday, August 18.

Registration for the fall semester at Missouri Southern State University will take place from 1- 4:30 p.m., Thursday, August 14 and Friday, August 15 in departmental offices throughout the campus. Faculty and staff will be available after 1 p.m. on these days for advising and registration.

Evening registration will be held from 5:30-7 p.m., Thursday, August 14 on the first floor of Hearnes Hall.

Incoming freshmen should contact the Coordinator of New Student Programs at (417) 625-3158 for details. Incoming Transfer students should report to the Admissions Office, Hearnes Hall Room 109 for a permit to register.

Late Registration will be held during the day August 18-22 in the students’ major departments. Undeclared majors should register in the Advising, Counseling and Testing Services office in Hearnes Hall, Room 114. Late Registration may be made during the evening from 5:30 - 7 p.m., August 18 - 21 in Hearnes Hall, Room 100.

A complete listing of course offerings is available in schedule booklets distributed to area residents and on the World Wide Web at www.mssu.edu.

Schedule booklets also are available in various offices on the MSSU campus.

Persons may contact the Office of Admissions at (417) 781-6778 or (866) 818-6778 for information about enrollment or other programs offered by Southern. These include the Learning Center, Small Business Development Center, credit-in-escrow and residence life.

For information concerning the “Sixty Plus” program for senior citizens, or continuing education courses students should call (417) 625-9368.
