Dr. Jeanie Cozens

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - Jeanie Cozens of Gentry, Ark., assistant professor in the Teacher Education Department at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville on April 18.

Her dissertation was entitled: "Preparation for Literacy Instruction: Preservice Teacher's Perceptions."

 

She was successful in the defense of that dissertation last week.

 

She has been on the MSSU Teacher Education faculty for the past three years.

Dr. Cozens currently serves as co-sponsor of the MSSU International Reading Association (IRA) Council, according to Dr. Al R. Cade, Chair of the Teacher Education Department at MSSU.
