for Your Music
Scholarship Audition
Instrumental
- Prepare two pieces of contrasting style and tempo that show your musical
ability.
- Your prepared pieces could be: a solo, movements from a solo, or an etude.
- Memorization is not required.
- An accompanist is not required.
Piano
- Prepare two pieces of contrasting style and tempo that show your musical
ability.
- It would be helpful if you could play one of your selected pieces from
memory.
- You may be asked to sight-read a piece or play at least one major scale.
Voice
- Prepare two pieces of contrasting style and tempo that show your musical
ability.
- You may bring your own accompanist or one will be provided. If you do not
bring your own accompanist, please bring an extra copy of your music. The
Music Department cannot make copies of your music. Taped accompaniment is
acceptable.
- Memorization is recommended but not required.
