Krista Jobson

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Krista Jobson holds a master’s degree in music from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a bachelor’s degree in Music with Honors in Performance from Converse College, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Prior to her completion of these degrees, Ms. Jobson toured for four years as principal flutist with the Band of the Air Force Reserve, an active-duty military band based at Robins Air Force Base, in Georgia. As a member of that group, Ms. Jobson performed in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as in many countries of the European Union. Ms. Jobson has given performances with the Piccolo Spoleto Festival Orchestra, Spartanburg Philharmonic, Charleston Symphony Orchestra and Brevard Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared as soloist with the Converse College Conservatory Orchestra. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she studies flute with Mary Posses. Ms. Jobson maintains an active schedule of chamber music performances as a member of the Liberace Winds, a fellowship wind quintet in residence at UMKC.
