Director of Chorale Studies Bud Clark

Charles "Bud" Clark, became Director of Choral Activities at Missouri Southern State University in 1988, and has been teaching in Missouri since 1969. He received his BME and MA degrees at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Mr. Clark is a highly sought after conductor/clinician, and has conducted over 250 clinics and workshops throughout Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. His choirs have performed at both Missouri Music Educators Association Conventions and the American Choral Directors Summer Convention. He will be conducting the Missouri Southern Chamber Choir, as they will be performing in May of 1999 in Vienna, Budapest, Graz, Salzburg, Innsbruck, and Munich, as the representative choir from Missouri for the Strauss Festival in Vienna.

Mr. Clark’s professional memberships include Missouri Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference, and American Choral Directors Association. He has just completed serving as President of the Missouri Music Educators Association, and now holds the office of Past-President.

Mr. Clark has over thirty published articles including the “Humor” column for a nationally published magazine, Vocalease.
