Instructor of Saxophone

Mr. Cunningham comes to Missouri Southern State University by way of UMKC where he is currently a doctoral candidate of saxophone in classical and jazz performance.   He earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Brigham Young University with a jazz emphasis and a Master of Music degree in classical performance from Arizona State University and his teachers include such international performers as Dr. Joseph Wytko and Bobby Watson.

Along with his teaching duties at Southern, Mr. Cunningham is also a faculty member at the Community Music & Dance Academy in Kansas City.  Other teaching experiences include instruction of applied saxophone and saxophone quartets at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, private instruction at Brigham Young University.
