Diversity Web Sources for Higher Education
This article identifies Web sources with emphasis on sites that include institutional vision on diversity issues, recruitment of minority faculty, library organizations working to achieve diversity, and related issues. These web sources are starting points for exploring diversity in higher education and looking at the rich cultural heritage of various groups. Its intended audience is faculty, librarians, students, and anyone interested in these issues. The criteria for Web inclusion are that sources be substantive and organized.

Electronic Magazine of Multicultural Education
Magazine from Eastern College features multicultural instructional ideas, resource reviews and essays. Includes articles and an open forum.

Educational Resources Information Center
Funded by the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI, part of US DOE), the ERIC system consists of 26 clearinghouses devoted to abstracting and indexing the world of education-related knowledge. From the main ERIC site, you may search the ERIC database (nearly a million entries and growing), print off ERIC Digests and connect to the two clearinghouses nearest and dearest to the adult literacy field: the Clearinghouse on Adult, Career and Vocational Education (ACVE) and the National Clearinghouse on ESL Literacy Education (NCLE).
