v ONE IN EVERY THREE FEMALES WILL BE SEXUALLY ASSAULTED DURING HER LIFETIME.

v ONE IN EVERY FIVE MALES WILL BE SEXUALLY ASSAULTED DURING HIS LIFETIME.

v A RAPE OCCURS EVERY 6 MINUTES IN THE UNITED STATES.

v ONLY ONE IN TEN SEXUAL ASSAULTS IS REPORTED.

v MARITAL RAPE IS PERVASIVE.

v ANYONE CAN BE A VICTIM OF RAPE, REGARDLESS OF GENDER, AGE, ETHNICITY OR SEXUAL PREFERENCE.

v THE VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT KNOW MOST ATTACKERS.

v THE MAJORITY OF ALL RAPES OCCUR IN THE VICTIM'S HOME.

The Missouri Coalition Against Sexual Assault originated in April of 1995 and since that time has been committed to promoting social change needed to end sexual violence and to effectively respond to victims and survivors. Our mission is to provide resources to concerned individuals and organizations as they collectively work toward addressing these goals.
