Resources for Families and Children in the Community

Families and children in the community
The Administration for Children and Families, from the Department of Health and Human Services.

Southwest Missouri Community Alliance
The Southwest Missouri Community Alliance is a collaborative body of community groups, health and human service providers, and individuals, who are working together in a partnership with the state, to strengthen communities and to make needed resources available to the children and families of Jasper and Newton Counties.

Caring Communities
Caring Communities projects are driven by local program planning in communities and neighborhoods. Consequently, there is tremendous diversity among the projects supported by Caring Communities Partnerships across Missouri. That diversity is often obscured by purely quantitative reports that aggregate statistical indicators. Caring Communities is committed to impacting such quantitative indicators. Indeed, work on quantitative impacts is continuing and is reflected in this report by the inclusion of benchmarks. At the same time, the Initiative is also interested in telling the complete story of how the Caring Communities Initiative is improving the lives of children and families.
