A division
of the Missouri Department of Health, the Bureau of Emergency
Medical Services in Missouri is responsible for licensing
and setting guidelines for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs),
Emergency Medical Response Agencies, designating Trauma Centers,
investigating complaints involving all licensed or accredited
activities and staffing the State Advisory Council on Emergency
Medical Services, the State Emergency Medical Services Medical
Director''s Advisory Committee and six Regional Emergency
Services Advisory Committes. It is also responsible for accrediting
all training entities and for licensing all ground and air
ambulance services.
